About the Journal

ICATT Journal of Islamic Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Ikatan Cendekiawan Alumni Timur Tengah. The journal is dedicated to advancing scholarly research in Islamic studies by fostering rigorous, critical, and interdisciplinary approaches that engage both classical Islamic intellectual heritage (turāth) and contemporary global issues.

The journal provides a platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to contribute original and high-quality works that explore diverse dimensions of Islamic studies. It encourages innovative perspectives, comparative analyses, and contextual reinterpretations that are relevant to modern societal challenges.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, Islamic law and jurisprudence, Qur’anic and Hadith studies, Islamic theology and philosophy, Islam and society, contemporary issues in the Muslim world, and the history of Islamic civilization and intellectual traditions.

ICATT Journal of Islamic Studies publishes original research articles, review articles, and conceptual papers. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure academic integrity, originality, and scholarly quality.

The journal is published three times a year in April, August, and December. It adopts an open-access policy to support the wide dissemination of knowledge and does not charge any article processing fees (APC).
